The aforementioned few words encapsulate the vital role a personal trainer plays in elevating your performance. This philosophy is something I have profoundly believed in and embraced since my teenage years. It has served me remarkably well in the fitness realm, and it is a principle I am eager to share with you. Why choose a Personal Trainer?

LISTEN: A personal trainer should be well-qualified in your chosen sport to help you improve your performance. A personal trainer Ideally should also possess a background in your sport to apply their experience towards enhancing your abilities and awareness in training, diet, and recovery. Active listening is crucial, enabling the trainer to utilize their expertise and strategies effectively in your workouts, diet, and recovery.

UNDERSTAND: Again, this is where a personal trainers’ qualifications and experience prove invaluable to you. An understanding of the personal training methods required to reach next level performance must be given to the client so as to understand everything involved in diet and recovery as well as the physical effort involved.

APPLY: Why a personal trainer must use specific exercises; as it will improve your performance. A personal trainer will ensure enough recovery time to avoid injury or overtraining. Desiging personal programes that suit your fitness needs and fitness goals is the aim. Beyond this you apply yourself to the programe and this will work for you.

PERSIST: The trainer is a motivator and must lead by example. In other words, be able to complete all exercises & stretches that are relevant to your progress to next level performance. To encourage and inspire you when tiredness or a lack lustre training session may discourage or damage moral.  Persist, Persist, Persist!

ACHIEVE: Next level performance must be earned through a properly thought out training plan. Supported by a diet and recovery plan. The recovery plan must include ‘passive and active’ recovery training methods. Next level performance must be achieved injury free through adequate warm up and correct technical instruction and execution of specific exercises.
